Presentation of a modified stimulation plate system for children with Down syndrome

The stimulation plate introduced by Castillio-Moralez in addition to orofacial regulation therapy has often failed to fulfil all expectations in everyday clinical practice, partly due to technical inadequacies. The University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf and the ISST in Unna have now had very positive experiences with children with Down’s syndrome using advanced, soft oral stimulation plates (OSP).
