The EatGood method according to Dr. Berndsen/Berndsen takes a completely new approach. EatGood does not stand for particularly good food, but rather for a good quality of functional processes when eating, drinking and swallowing: sensitivity of taste perception, breathing, head balance, swallowing position, food preparation, food intake. The EatGood method primarily takes into account that a correctly functioning system has a significant influence on the pre-digestion and digestion of food on the one hand and the metabolism on the other.

How should I understand the goals of the EatGood method? Why do I have to change tried and tested movements and functions when eating and drinking in order to achieve my ideal weight?
The fact that something appears to work smoothly is never proof that a process is taking place correctly and without harm. For example, incorrect movements of our arms, legs, hips, etc. only become a health problem if they have existed for a long time. For example, we have always been able to walk from A to B without any problems, but one day we experience pain in our hips. In most cases, the reason for this is many years of incorrect weight-bearing, which went unnoticed by us. It’s the same with eating and drinking. We were able to do it without any problems and yet the functional process must not have been correct.
In most cases, weight gain is directly related to such functional disorders and bad habits. Based on this fact, the EatGood Method corrects habitual dysfunctions, which is generally the most important prerequisite for successfully reducing and maintaining body weight without effort.
